Zendaya reveals shocking health scare on ‘Dune: Part Two’ set
‘Dune’ actress Zendaya talks about challenges of shooting in hot desert of Jordan
Zendaya has opened up about the challenges she faced while filming Dune: Part Two.
In an interview with W Magazine, Zendaya shared how she went to avoid an embarrassing situation during the filming, which led to health scare on set.
The actress said, “We were in Jordan. It was very hot, and I remember thinking, ‘Oh, man, the bathrooms are so far away,’ because we had to hike to the locations.”
“If you have to pee, you need at least 10 minutes to get out of the costumes. I was like, ‘Damn, I don’t want to drink too much water.’ I had such a fear of peeing myself or s****** myself, honestly, in the suit on set,” she added further.
Zendaya went on to recall one of the days when she “didn’t drink enough” water which led to “heatstroke.”
“I felt so barfy. I remember calling my mom on the bathroom floor, saying, ‘I feel terrible.’ She was like, ‘Did you drink water today?’ I said ‘No.’ I thought I was being smart, but you can’t do that. So, lesson learned,” Zendaya recalled.
However, even with all the difficulties, Zendaya gave an extraordinary performance in her role as Chani in Dune: Part Two.
