Umer Sharif The King of Comedy Passed Away in Germany

Umer Sharif The King of Comedy passed away in Germany at the age of 66. He was a great Pakistani actor, comedian, director, producer, and television personality. He was one of the greatest comedians in the sub-continent. 

Local media confirmed the news on Saturday. Umer Sharif was critically ill and was traveling to the United States for better treatment. He was on his way to the US through an air ambulance but moved to a hospital in Germany after his health condition worsen.

In a recent video, Umer Sharif asked the government of Pakistan and appealed to approve his visa so that he could go abroad. However, federal and provincial governments tried their level best to help in the medical treatment of Umer. The federal government had assured him that it would help and the Sindh government also stepped in, sanctioning Rs: 40 million for his treatment.

On social media, fellow celebrities and artists mourn and offering their condolences to the deceased family.

At the age of 14, Umer Sharif started his acting career as a stage actor in 1974. He released his plays on audio cassettes worked as a film director and gained popularity in the nation as well as across the borders. Umer Sharif worked in the industry for 50 years and performed in dozens of plays, stage theaters, and live shows.
