Timothee Chalamet reveals unexpected pick for next role

Timothée Chalamet has revealed the celebrity he’d like to play next after Marty Supreme, and his choice is rather surprising.

Chalamet appeared on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up podcast and gave a sports-themed answer, staying true to the theme of the podcast.

The Dune star replied: “What about the Ernie Johnson biopic, the host of Inside the NBA?”

“I like that,” Sampson replied.

“It’s out in the universe now,” co-host Nicole Ryan remarked.

“You never know, he might already have a short list of people that I’m not on,” Chalamet noted with modesty.

For the unversed, 68-year-old Johnson’s decades long career in sports and broadcasting has featured a FIFA World Cup, TNT’s NFL and Wimbledon coverage, Olympics coverage, MLB and PGA golf play by play.

The six-time Emmy winner and Sports Broadcasting Hall-of-Famer is dubbed “The Godfather” by the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith.

Timothee Chalamet has been booked and busy this year and will be next year as well. The actor played Paul Atreides in Dune: Part Two, which is one of the highest grossing films of the year. His performance as Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknwn has garnered him critical acclaim, and he’ll next be seen in Marty Supreme, where he plays Marty Reisman. He also has Dune: Messiah lined up.
