Taylor Swift named in Blake Lively’s harassment case against Justin Baldoni?
Here’s why Taylor Swift is mentioned in Blake Lively’s lawsuit against ‘It Ends With Us’ costar Justin Baldoni
Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni.
In the lawsuit, Blake’s best friend Taylor Swift has been mentioned twice, according to a report by PEOPLE magazine.
The outlet shared that Justin’s PR team, TAG PR, created a “scenario planning document” discussing ways to tarnish Blake’s reputation.
One idea suggested that they could “explore planting stories” about Taylor and Blake using “weaponized feminism” to get what they want.
Meanwhile, another reference to the Blank Space crooner was in a message from TAG PR’s head, Melissa Nathan, discussing the challenges of smearing Blake as Taylor’s fanbase could rally behind her.
“We have seen the most innocuous issues turn giant due to socials or the hugest crisis have no effects on social whatsoever- you just cannot tell at this stage. But, [Lively] does have some of the [Swift] fanbase so we will be taking it extremely seriously,” the message read.
For the unversed, the Gossip Girl alum’s complaint accuses Justin of fostering a “hostile work environment that had nearly derailed production” of the film. His alleged behaviour had an extreme “emotional impact” on the actress, her husband and their kids.
“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Blake told The New York Times in a statement.
