Stray Kids makes history with latest album ‘Hop’
Stray Kids recently achieved milestone on the Billboard 200 with latest album Hop.
According to Billboard, the South Korean boy-band scored sixth number on the chart.
The publication announced that the boy-band’s new SKZHOP HIPTAPE had debuted at No. 1 on its Top 200 Albums chart, making it their sixth consecutive album to top the chart following Oddinary and Maxident (both in 2022), Rock-Star and 5-Star (both in 2023), and ATE (earlier this year).
As per another publication titled Luminate, HOP earned a total of 187,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on December 19, 2024.Â
The album’s total score consisted of 176,000 traditional album sales. making it the No. 1 best-selling album of the week in the United States.
Moreover, the South Korean band is now tied with BTS, Linkin Park, and Dave Matthews Band for the most No. 1 albums of any group in the 21st century (since 2000).
Stray Kids’ latest single, Come Play, which sees them team up with Puerto Rican artist Young Miko and rock god Tom Morello, hit the Official Vinyl Singles chart in the UK this week.
