‘Shrinking’ creators get honest about Harrison Ford fate
Bill Lawrence, co-maker of ‘Shrinking’ opens up about future of Harrison Ford’s character
Shrinking’s co-maker Bill Lawrence is seemingly in a fix. Dr. Paul Rhoades (Harrison Ford) has stopped taking his meds for Parkinson’s because they were no longer effective in the season two finale.
From there, a likely journey to the Star Wars character’s eventual death has been started due to the nature of the disease.
However, the Apple TV+ creator admitted he is not sure how to approach the character’s inevitability.
“I’m saying this honestly, we’re just now writing a third season. I don’t know if I could stomach having to see that, and I haven’t decided yet,” he shared.
Bill said he, along with his co-creator Brett Goldstein, has a history of dealing with Parkinson’s in their family, which made the task even tougher.
“I will tell you this: what we really care about, Brett and me, both with our family connections to Parkinson’s, is an accurate and inspiring representation of what people that have to deal with that **** go through, and what it means moving forward.”
“I think that will be touching and hard to watch, and if I knew where it ended, I wouldn’t tell you, but I can be honest and say I don’t know where it ends yet,” the 50-year-old concluded.
