During a 2011 interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Ruby reflected on her relationship with her father by saying, “I didn’t see my dad for a long time, but when I hit adolescence, I wanted to know where I came from. Moreover, Ruby has stepped back from the spotlight in recent years, following her controversial exit from the CW superhero series Batwoman in 2020.

Additionally, she cited poor working conditions on set, later clarifying in a scathing online post, “I DID NOT QUIT. They ruined Kate Kane and destroyed Batwoman, not me.”
