Reese Witherspoon recalls emotional Christmas gifts from children
Reese Witherspoon has shared that they are a very ‘sentimental family’ in a recent interview
Reese Witherspoon has opened up about a Christmas gift treasure that she received from her children.
While chatting with People, the Legally Blonde actress candidly explained how much she loves and appreciates handmade gifts.
Recalling the list of heart-warming gifts that she had received for Christmas, she began by saying, “When one of my kids were little, they gave me a jar filled with very specific memories and compliments.”
Witherspoon shared insights into some of the memories, continued, “It’s everything from, ‘I love when you hug me after school’ to ‘I love when we sing this song in the car.’ To this day it makes me want to cry.”
Moreover, the 48-year-old actress revealed another lovely gift that contained “five letters they wrote” for her with an instruction “to open at different times.”
“I slowly opened them over a year and it was such a lovely, lovely gift. We’re a very sentimental family,” the mother of three told the outlet.
“My little boy was even saying to me last night, ‘I don’t know what to get everybody, understand anything you make me, I will love more than anything you buy,'” she added.
Before concluding, the Big Little Lies actress shared, “I would make watercolours, or cards with markers, or Rice Krispies treats or chocolate chip cookies, I still do to this day.”
Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe got married in 1999 and parted ways nine years later in 2008. The ex-couple share a daughter, Ava, and son, Deacon. The actress also shares Tennessee Jame Toth with her ex-husband Jim Toth, whom she was married to from 2011 to 2023.
