Real reason why Kate Middleton, Prince William skip pre-Christmas lunch with King Charles revealed
Kate Middleton and Prince William decided to skip the lunch “quite some time ago”, and King Charles was “told in advance”
A royal insider has revealed the real reason as Prince William and Kate Middleton skipped a traditional pre-Christmas lunch with King Charles at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
The source claimed the future king and queen skipped the major event with King Charles after ‘disagreement’ over Prince Andrew.
According to the Sky News the Telegraph, citing the royal insider reported the Prince and Princess of Wales decided to skip the lunch “quite some time ago”, and the King was “told in advance.”
Royal expert Tom Sykes quoted a source as saying, “It is another example of the couple’s growing confidence when it comes to challenging some long-established traditions which they are widely believed to consider tiresome.
“Charles would have liked them to be there, and the fact that he was either unwilling or unable to insist on it shows his inability to maintain family discipline.”
