Prince William and King Charles statements came days after Meghan Markle returned to Instagram
Prince William has released his first statement after his sister-in-law Meghan Markle took a bold step to return to Instagram after years of hiatus.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter handle, the future king released a statement to express his grief after his former nanny’s stepson was killed in New Orleans attack.
In a personal message to Tiggy Pettifer and family, Prince William says “Catherine and I have been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettifer.”
The statement continued, “Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Pettifer family and all those innocent people who have been tragically impacted by this horrific attack. W”
At least 15 people including the driver of the truck that barreled into crowds of New Year revelers were killed in the New Orleans attack.
Earlier, King Charles also released statement as the monarch sent his condolences to the family of Edward Pettifer, 31, the stepson of Princes William and Harry’s former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke, who was killed in the New Orleans terrorist attack.
