Prince Harry, Meghan Markle react to King Charles brutal Christmas snub
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not invited to Royal Christmas bash despite the Duke’s hope of reconciliation
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were left mortified after King Charles brutally snubbed them and did not extend an invitation for this year’s Christmas bash.
Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been invited to Royal family’s Christmas parties since they stepped down as working royals in 2020, a report revealed they were expecting an invite this year.
As per a royal insider, Harry and Meghan knew they would not be able to mark the festivities with King Charles or rest of the Royal family members, but insider said the Duchess believes it “would have been nice to have been asked.”
Sharing the reaction of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Christmas snub, a source told Heat Magazine that the couple were expecting that the Royal family would have developed a soft corner for them after all these years of estrangement.
The insider said that Meghan believes the security issue in the UK should not have been the reason behind Charles snubbing them over this Christmas.
“Ultimately, Harry and Meghan were never going to spend Christmas in England, but it would have been nice to have been asked,” the insider said.
“The deafening silence that they continue to receive from across the pond really stresses Meghan out and she’s at a total loss about how to handle it.
“At this point, she fully expected that senior members of the family might have signalled more warmth towards her and Harry, or that they’d be on the receiving end of some reconciliation attempts.”
The insider further stated that Meghan is now analyzing their whole feud with the Royals and figuring out which Royal is responsible for stopping the whole family from mending bonds with them.
“For Meghan, it’s important to rise above the frostiness and try to be the bigger people. It’s too much of a one-way effort for her liking,” the insider said.
