Duke of York faced trouble for his ties with businessman Yang Tengbo
Following the Prince Andrew spy scandal, the UK intelligence agencies are reportedly recruiting Mandarian speakers now for sake of country’s security.
For the unversed, Duke of York’s scandal centers around his tied to busniessman, Yang Tengbo, linked to Chinese intelligence. Yang was banned from the UK after the country’s security court deemed him a threat.
As per revelations, he referred himself as a “special envoy” of Andew and met him multiple times at Buckingham Palace and other royal residences in 2018.
Now, Mirror has reported that in response to the scandal the UK’s intelligencies are looking to hire andarin-speaking individuals with a deep understanding of Chinese politics.
The advert for hiring states that the successful applicants will “help shape and influence government policy.”
“Your knowledge of the Mandarin language, as well as your in-depth understanding of Chinese culture, ideology, and politics will be a significant asset in helping to safeguard the UK,” it further stated.
It is worth mentioning that Yang has reportedly denied being a spy and doing any wrongdoings alongside Prince Andrew.
