Pamela Anderson details how her agent ruined her career

Pamela Anderson recently opened up about how her son played a key role in getting her the script for The Last Showgirl after her agent secretly turned it down.

While having a conversation with People magazine, the former star of Baywatch shared that the director of The Last Showgirl, Gia Coppola, sent her then-agent the script for the movie, hoping she would accept the lead role.

However, the agent did not give the script to Anderson.

She articulated by saying, “He was sent the script, and he just turned it down within the hour. I don’t know if it was the money or the role or whatever. He thought I wouldn’t do it.”

Notably, Anderson eventually got the script while gardening at her residence in Canada when her son Brandon Lee gave it to her.

The 57-year-old star remarked, “You have to send offers to the artist. I didn’t have a real strong agent or anyone with any vision or belief in me. Now I do, but only because I did The Last Showgirl.”

“You have to get a project that you can sink your teeth into to show people that you’re more than where you’ve been pigeonholed. The opportunity was something I was really craving,” Anderson concluded by confessing.

It is pertinent to mention that Pamela Anderson’s drama film The Last Showgirl will be released on January 10, 2025, in the United States.
