Nicole Kidman admits to setting her own tradition for Christmas, which involves setting up lights before everyone else.

According to The Mirror, there is a tradition in the US where most people put out the decorations after Thanksgiving.

However, the Academy-winning actress does not follow this.

Nicole shared her views on Stephan Colbert’s Late Show, “Yes, I have lights up. I’m the person has the lights at very, very early. We put them up at the beginning of November.”

This led the host to question whether she celebrated Thanksgiving after revealing that she would start Christmas festivity early.

“No, we do a huge Thanksgiving. I just like to have the lights up. So we’ve got the lights up. I apologized (to) all the neighbors,” she clarified while apologizing for not following the tradition.

“We are negotiating calling them winter lights,” she quipped when asked how long the lights would be there.

“I want to start a whole movement that allows winter lights to stay up. A light up your life movement,” the Babygirl actress concluded.

Meanwhile, Nicole lives mainly in Nashville with her family, where they purchased a seven-bedroom home in 2008.
