Nicki Minaj was previously accused of assault and battery by her alleged former manager
Nicki Minaj might be facing criminal charges!
As per TMZ, after the rapper’s former manager accused her of assault and battery in a lawsuit that he filed, Minaj is under strict scrutiny.
A warrant request to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office has been issued by the Detroit Police, which is now under review whether the Pink Friday album maker should be issued criminal issues over intention of inflicting emotional distress and battery.
Particularly, a prosecutor would be making the final call of whether the charges are to be filed or not.
In the lawsuit documents obtained, Brandon Garrett, who claims to be Minaj’s former manager, claimed that he was “struck” by the Anaconda hitmaker, during a concert in Detroit.
The alleged altercation took place in Minaj’s dressing room, over an errand that he was supposed to run.
According to Billboard the lawsuit mentions Garret stating that the music icon became “visibly upset,” and yelled, “Are you f***ing crazy having him pick up my prescription?”
“You have lost your f***ing mind and if my husband was here, he would knock out your f***ing teeth. You’re a dead man walking. You just f***ed up your whole life and you will never be anyone, I’ll make sure of it,” the lawsuit further stated, of how Minaj interacted with Garret.
It was then claimed that the Bang Bang artist “struck him” on the “right side of his face, causing his head to swing backwards as his hat flew off his head.”
In a statement to DailyMail, Nicki Minaj’s lawyer, Judd Burstein, denied the claims in the lawsuit, calling them “false and frivolous.”
