Netflix’s Peaky Blinders movie has officially wrapped filming.

The upcoming Netflix film titled, The Immortal Man, continues the story of Shelby family from where the famous TV series concluded and is set during World War II.

The Official Instagram handle of the series along with Netflix shared a joint post on Thursday.

Alongside a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the movie, it was announced that the film has officially wrapped filming.

The behind-the-scenes photo shows Cillian Murphy, reprising his iconic role as Tommy Shelby, smiling on set with newcomer Barry Keoghan.

The caption read, “And that’s a wrap! Filming has now completed on the Peaky Blinders film.”

“Wishing a happy festive break to everyone, especially our wonderful cast and crew,” it further stated.

It is worth mentioning that besides Murphy other returning cast members include Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck.

They will reportedly be joining other newcomers Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo.

In an interview with GQ, Murphy, who is also a producer of the project, reflected on how revisiting the series helped the film’s vision.

“Since I started producing – I was a producer on Peaky – you kind of have to. It kind of takes the curse off of it. It was very nice watching it, because it was actually quite a good show,” the actor stated.

He went on to say, “It was also quite heartbreaking, because I was watching Helen McCrory, and we lost her.”

“But you can distance yourself from it, and look at and say, ‘Right, that’s the atmosphere we want. That’s the look we need, that’s the silhouette, and that’s the energy we need from it’. We need to turn it up for the movie, obviously,” Murphy added further.
