Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Colman Domingo just dominated the National Society of Film Critics awards.

The English actress, famous for her role in the 1996 film Secrets & Lies, that landed her nominations for the Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, has now won the prestigious Best Actress award for her performance in the Mike Leigh drama, Hard Truths.

Hard Truths also scored another trophy from the prestigious platform that went to Michele Austin for Best Supporting Actress.

While the Best Actor award went to Colman Domingo for his role in Sing Sing and Keiran Culkin bagged the award for Best Supporting Actor due to his film, A Real Pain.

A Real Pain also ended up winning the award for Best Screenplay for Jesse Eisenberg.

On Saturday, while the 59th voting meeting of the platform was held in New York, they awarded Nickel Boys the Best Film as well as Best Cinematography of 2024 while No Other Land won in the category of Best Nonfiction Film.

the National Society of Film Critics, the award for Best Director was scored by Payal Kapadia for All We Imagine as Light, a film that also ended up winning in the category of Best Film Not in the English Language.
