Lisa Kudrow gets honest about late Matthew Perry

Lisa Kudrow appears to be a fan of her co-star Matthew Perry ever since his first impression on her during the making of Friends.

In an interview with Today, the actress who played Phoebe Buffay said they were gathered for the table read of the hit sitcom.

“When we had that first table read, what Matthew was doing didn’t sound like what I thought I was going to hear. It was like nothing I’ve ever heard before, I went, ‘Oh boy,’” she shared.

“Matthew was blow-away hilarious,” the actress added.

In an earlier interview with Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Dinner’s On Me, Lisa opened up about the reunion in 2019, “It was so good,” adding, “We’d only had dinner the six of us once before since the show ended.”

“How soon after the show?” the host asked.

“Ten years!” the 61-year-old replied, noting that it was “fantastic. It was like we didn’t miss a beat.”

In October 2023, Matthew died at the age of 54 of acute effects of ketamine.
