Liam Payne’s friend recently made new revelations, following One Direction star’s tragic death.

Payne died on October 16, at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, Argentina.

His toxicological exams showed that his body had “traces of alcohol, cocaine and a prescribed anti-depressant” during the moments before his death.

Now, his friend named Roger Nores, who has been accused of abandonment followed by the singer’s death, in his defense, has claimed that Payne was “close to death” multiple times before fatal fall due to his drug use.

In a 91-page document filed in the court, Payne’s friend maintained that he was not singer’s doctor, lawyer, or representative, and also claimed that when he left the singer at the hotel the day he died, he was “greeting fans” and seemed to be fine.

Nores, who could face 5 to 15 years in prison if proven guilty, claimed that Payne’s drug abuse led to multiple hospitalizations and rehab center visits in Europe and the United States, as well as two resuscitations in the past two years.

Moreover, his filing also alleged that Payne consumed “heroin” and that his “drug use nearly killed him” on several occasions.

“Unfortunately, these treatments were not successful and his addiction worsened as he began to use harder drugs, such as heroin,” he stated.

He went on to claim that Payne’s drug abuse worsened at the beginning of 2024.

The friend also claimed that the History crooner then had to be resuscitated again following a near overdose the following month.

It is to be noted here that Liam Payne’s friend Roger Nores is one of the five people, who has been charged in the singer’s death case.
