Leighton Meester, Luke Cook stuns fans with appearance in major new project
Leighton Meester and Luke Cook are set to appear in a new series which will be premiering on February 20
Stan has released the first trailer for its highly anticipated original series Good Cop/Bad Cop, a Gold Coast-filmed comedy-drama featuring Hollywood stars Leighton Meester and Luke Cook.
The series, which is set to premiere on February 20, combines humor, suspense, and heartfelt family dynamics within a small-town police force in the Pacific Northwest.
According to Daily Mail, the show follows sister-and-brother detective duo Lou (Meester) and Henry (Cook) as they go through quirky locals, limited resources, and their complex relationship with each other and their police chief father, Big Hank, played by veteran actor Clancy Brown.
Moreover, Leighton Meester, widely recognized for her role as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, stars alongside Aussie actor Luke Cook, known for portraying Lucifer Morningstar in Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Adding to the stellar cast are Australian actors Scott Lee (Last King of the Cross), Philippa Northeast (The Newsreader), Grace Chow (Mystery Road: Origin), Lincoln Lewis (Home and Away), Tyler Coppin (Neighbours), and Jeanette Cronin (Doctor Doctor).
Created and written by John Quaintance (Will & Grace), the series is directed by acclaimed filmmakers Trent O’Donnell (Population 11), Gracie Otto (Bump), Corrie Chen (Bad Behaviour), and Anne Renton (The Good Doctor).
Produced by Future Shack Entertainment and Jungle Entertainment, the series received substantial support from the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy and the City of Gold Coast.
Fans can catch its premiere exclusively on Stan starting February 20.
