Lainey Wilson’s marriage plans with Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges come to light
‘Tougher’ singer and Duck Hodges seem ready for the next step, but who will propose first?
A renowned American country singer and songwriter, Lainey Wilson, seemingly has found her true love in her boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges.
While having a conversation with Bunnie Xo for CMT, Xo asked Wilson to do some manifesting for the new year and shared her desire for both partners to tie the knot.
The Praying Woman singer responded to the host’s remarks with an impatient face, saying, “No pressure, brother! No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We waiting!” (sic)
Xo then responded by quipping, “No, Duck’s gonna do it. I could feel it,” and Wilson happily added, “I like that.”
For the unversed, Wilson and her 28-year-old footballer boyfriend met through their mutual friends in Nashville.
Notably, the pair made their first red carpet debut at the 2023 ACMs, and speaking to People magazine there, Wilson shed light on keeping her relationship private, quipping, “I said, ‘We gonna see if you’re in it for the right reasons.’ Turns out, he is.”
The 32-year-old pop icon added, “Somebody said how funny it was watching him high-five all of my artist friends at the ACMs, and I said, ‘Those are his friends!’ He’ll FaceTime me, and he’ll be with HARDY and Morgan [Wallen] and Luke [Combs], and I’m like, ‘Stop stealing all my buddies.’ They’ll always be out golfing and drinking a beer. I don’t have to convince anybody to like him. He’s a very lovable person.”
Lainey Wilson also admitted that Devlin “Duck” Hodges “inspires her songwriting” and called him “one of my biggest cheerleaders and champions.”
