King Charles takes big step after Meghan Markle’s bold move
Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet doting mother, returned to Instagram by sharing a video of herself running barefoot on an overcast beach
King Charles has taken the first major decision of the year 2025 amid his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle’s return to Instagram.
As per reports, King Charles has appointed David Ashley as the United Kingdom’s ambassador to South Sudan, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) said last week.
According to Sundanspost, Ashley, who will assume his role in January 2025, succeeds Guy Warrington, who has served in the post since March 2023.
The FCDO said in a statement, “David Ashley has been appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan, succeeding Guy Warrington.”
Ashley previously served as the UK ambassador to Madagascar and Comoros from 2020 to 2024.
This is King Charles first major appointment amid Meghan’s New Year move by returning to Instagram with her first account following years of break.
Archie and Lilibet doting mother shared the video of herself running barefoot on an overcast beach, which was filmed by her husband Prince Harry near their home.
