King Charles gently steers Prince William towards unwanted Royal destiny
King Charles reportedly set to make big decision about Prince William’s Royal future
King Charles has no other option left than to abdicate his throne in favour of Prince William due to his battle with cancer, a source has revealed.
According to a new report, the monarch’s ongoing cancer treatment has accelerated plans for William to take the throne, and the transition could happen “sooner than expected.”
Speaking with New Idea Magazine, a royal reporter revealed that the King has had to accept “limitations” during his treatment, with the Prince of Wales assuming more responsibilities.
While William had hoped of becoming a King much later in his life, Charles’ cancer will have him ascend to the throne in a year or two, an insider speculated.
“[The King] has had to accept limitations during his cancer treatment,” American royal reporter Sally Bedell Smith said. “As a result, William has been taking on more responsibilities.”
Sharing William’s stance on the matter, the source said the Prince of Wales “had always hoped to inherit the crown much later in life when his children were well into their own adulthood.”
“But Charles is unfortunately having to gently steer William toward possibly accepting a different destiny,” they added.
“The only upside to all this is that if Charles stands aside to focus on his health, he will have the precious and rare experience of seeing his son become King.”
