King Charles charity has been under scrutiny
King Charles has been fighting on several fronts since he ascended to the throne.
Apart from performing his duties as the monarch, the king has also tried to handle situations that arose due to the scandals his brother Prince Andrew got himself involved in.
His younger son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle have also been a headache for Charles as they continued to launch attacks on the royal family from overseas.
Although the king has not responded to criticism from the couple, he reportedly did everything to save the family from becoming target any controversy.
A latest inquiry has found that the historical governance of King Charles’ charity, the King’s Foundation, had not always been up to the standard required.
The report comes as the monarch continues to undergo treatment for unspecific form of cancer. The positive aspect of the inquiry was that it did not find any hint of corruption or serious failings.
Citing a report by Newsweek, GB News reported that the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator found serious and unacceptable failures on the part of the king’s charity.
It said the the investigation has spanned years.
The report said, “This finding is in relation to the historical approach to decision-making and record-keeping.”
“However, the inquiry did not find evidence of misconduct by any of the former or current trustees who were in office at the time.”
