Kelly Clarkson stuns with bold message in festive teaser

Kelly Clarkson, an acclaimed singer and songwriter, seemingly took a jab at ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in a teaser for her upcoming album.

The 42-year-old pop sensation shared a 53-minute video for her project When Christmas Comes Around… Again on Wednesday, December 18, on YouTube.

The video shows four red stockings hanging over a fireplace with each family member’s name embroidered on them.

One stocking had written “Mom,” while the others have her kids’ names, River, 10, and Remy, 8.

A fourth stocking read “Nope,” which seems to refer to her 48-year-old ex-husband.

Clarkson recently shared with radio station KOST 103.5 that her kids like her to be single, saying, “They’re young, so it’s hard to picture their mom with someone else other than their dad.”

For the unversed, the Broken & Beautiful hitmaker and Blackstock tied the knot in 2013, and the couple indulged in a long legal battle after Clarkson filed for divorce in June 2020.

As their divorce was finalised in March 2022, Clarkson was ordered to pay $45,000 a month in child support for their two kids.

It is pertinent to mention that in January this year, the Piece by Piece singer made her last $115,000 spousal support payment to Blackstock, who used to be her manager.
