Kayla Wallace stuns with Billy Bob Thornton’s ‘When Calls the Heart’ secret
Kayla Wallace shares a heartwarming story about Billy Bob Thornton and ‘When Calls the Heart’
Kayla Wallace of When Calls the Heart recently revealed a surprising moment when she learnt the show was a “comfort show” for Billy Bob Thornton.
While having a conversation with People, Wallace, who plays Rebecca Falcone in the series, said Thornton told her on the “first day of shooting” that When Calls the Heart was a “comfort show” for him.
The 31-year-old actress went on to add, “That’s the first thing he says to me. It definitely broke the ice.”
Expanding on this, she explained, “It was a really sweet story. I guess his mom loved the show, and he would watch it with her. So it definitely made me see him as the kind human that he is and not this guy on a billboard, Billy Bob Thornton.”
The star of Feeling Butterflies remarked, “That first interaction was so special, and it just was so cool to hear. Oh, my gosh. I was like, ‘No, no. I know stuff that you are on.’ This is backward.”
“I love that it’s such a comfort show for so many people, which it was clearly for his mom too. I love that he knew of it; that’s just so cool,” Wallace concluded.
It is pertinent to mention that Wallace has performed in When Calls the Heart from seasons 6 to 11 before securing a role in Landman, which premiered on November 17, 2024.
