Jude Law recently shared his two cents on his romantic-comedy film The Holiday, which has become a Christmas classic.
The 51-year-old actor, who portrayed a widowed in the 2006 romantic comedy, in an interview with the Observer New Review admitted that he had no idea the film would become a mandatory December viewing for so many people.
Asked if he had any sense that the Nancy Meyers-directional, which also stars Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black, would become a beloved Christmas classic, he said, “No, it leaves me speechless but I find it rather moving.”
Law then added, “I mean, it really was just another job.”
“It was a very jolly one, we had fun making it,” the Eden actor said, adding, “I knew that I was in the hands of someone who knew how to pull something like that off.”
“Then, yes, wave after wave of revisiting started to happen. You can’t plan for it but how delightful, in truth.”
For the unversed, The Holiday revolves around two lovesick women from opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, who arrange a home exchange to escape heartbreak during the Christmas and holiday season.
