Jocelyn Wildenstein dies at the age of 84
Jocelyn Wildenstein’s cause of death was identified as a pulmonary embolism
Jocelyn Wildenstein has passed away.
As per Daily Mail, Jocelyn’s partner, Lloyd Klein, informed that the Swiss socialite died because of a pulmonary embolism, which is basically a blockage of an artery in the lungs.
Known for her extreme plastic surgeries and 1999 high-profile divorce from a billionaire art dealer, Jocelyn is now survived by two children, Diane and Alec Jr.
After eloping with Alec Wildenstein, with whom she shared both her children, the couple called it quits in 1997 and made headlines for two years, till the divorce was finalized.
She was titled “Catwoman” due to her extensively altered appearance due to surgery and was also referred to as “The Bride of Wildenstein”
In the settlement of her divorce, Alex, who passed away in 2008, paid Jocelyn 2.5 billion dollars and a 100 million dollars annually.
It was mainly because, during the divorce proceedings, Jocelyn made a claim that she underwent numerous numbers of surgical procedures because of Alec who had mentioned that he “hates to be with old people.”
However, Jocelyn had denied that her feline-like features were altered through surgery, telling Vanity Fair back in 1998, “The lynx has perfect eyes. If I show you pictures of my grandmother, what you see is these eyes — cat eyes — and high cheekbones.”
