Jamie Foxx expressed his gratitude to fans for sending love and support after getting stitches during an altercation at his birthday dinner.
Following the heated clash with the Academy Award winner, while he was spending quality time with his daughters Corinne and Anelise and ex Kristin Grannis at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hill, California, Foxx took to his social media to thank his followers for sending him warm wishes for his recovery.
“The devil is busy… but I’m too blessed to be stressed,” Foxx wrote in an Instagram post.
“The devil is a lie,” the actor and comedian continued. “Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it… the lights have been shining bright…”
Previously, a spokesperson for Foxx told People, “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth.”
“He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands,” the representative added.
The alleged insident came few days after Foxx marked the release of his Netflix special, which reveals his medical emergency that began on April 11, 2023.
