‘It Ends With Us’ drama spills over on ‘SNL’
‘SNL’ faces the impact of ‘It Ends With Us’ fallout after a key star backs out
Blake Lively was set to host Saturday Night Live season 50.
However, she reportedly dropped from the hosting after the It Ends With Us drama.
Us Weekly obtained the lawsuit in which the Green Lantern actress’s legal team said, “The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial. Given the ongoing nature of the campaign and the associated negative public sentiment, Ms. Lively did not believe she could proceed with public appearances or events without being forced to openly discuss what happened on set.”
Her lawyers explained the impact of the alleged harassment campaign had her cancel other engagements.
“For example, Ms. Lively canceled a critical Target corporate event for her hair care company [Blake Brown Beauty], and she backed out of her scheduled role to host the premier episode of the 50th anniversary season of Saturday Night Live in September 2024,” it said.
The lawsuit expands on Blake’s allegations against It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni and a producer for “repeated sexual harassment and other disturbing behavior.”
