Gary Oldman accepts secret service request for Christmas
Gary Oldman dons ‘Slow Horses’ character for a secret agency’s Christmas video
In Slow Horses, Gary Oldman is known for his grumpiness as he leads a team of MI5 agents in the Apple TV+ show.
Now, he is, in real, obliged to work for the secret service after they asked him to narrate the popular poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ as the on-screen spy boss Jackson Lamb on the holiday.
“’Twas the night before Christmas when all through Thames House not a creature was stirring, just the click of a mouse,” he narrated as the clip showed the spy agency’s London headquarters Thames House.
“Then footsteps on stairwells, then flickering screens, the clackety keyboards of a hundred machines. The hustle, the bustle, the hive of activity, not the typical scene of your Christmas nativity,” the Harry Potter alum continued.
“So while people at home wrap last-minute gifts, the staff inside Thames will be changing their shifts. From us all at 5, we wish you festive delight. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night,” Gary concluded.
