Emraan Hashmi opens up about the sudden demise of Asif Basra

Bollywood’s acclaimed actor Emraan Hashmi has recently talked about the sudden demise of Asif Basra who committed suicide yesterday. Emraan Hashmi worked alongside Basra who found hanging in his Himachal Pradesh home.

While talking to ETimes, Emraan Hashmi said that he is extremely shocked as the Bollywood film industry has lost so many great actors this year. 2020 is a grief-stricken year!

The actor further said that he found him a very optimistic person who was very easy going person, as they worked together in Ekta Kapoor’s production “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai” in 2010, which was Milan Luthria’s directorial.

Emraan went on to say that he kept in touch with the late actor over text messages after the movie and then they met several times.

“I got inspiration from his dedicated work and he was a good actor”. Hashmi added. His movies “Hichki” and “Paatal Lok” are some of the best movies.

Emraan also said that Asif was a very cool guy and had a captivating face. However, Emraan said he was not aware of Asif’s life story who took a drastic step and committed suicide.

The actor said, “You can’t know everything about a person, no matter howsoever close you might be to him/her.
