Elton John names THESE favorite songs of his own
The musician’s documentary on his 50-year career ‘Elton John: Never Too Late’ was released on December 13, on Disney+.
Elton John revealed the list of his favorite songs and his least favorite ones too.
In a recent chat on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 77-year-old singer candidly shared the songs of his own that he loves and also hilariously mentioned those that he cannot stand by.
During the show host Stephen Colbert asked John about his “top five Elton John songs.”
In response, John exclaimed and said, “Oh, for Christ’s sake, I would say anything off the Captain Fantastic album:’Someone Saved My Life Tonight,’ ‘We All Fall in Love Sometimes,’ ‘Curtains.’ “
Then he gave a shoutout to two tracks one is from his 1995 LP Made in England, Blessed and the other one is from his self-titled album, Your Song, released in 1970, “because it’s the first hit I ever had.”
While recalling other tracks he jokingly teased, “Not f****** ‘Crocodile Rock.’ I know that.”
John made his appearance on the late-night talk show to promote his documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, which tells the story of his life on-and-off stage career.
Colbert asked the EGOT winner if any new projects were coming in the near future to which John responded positively.
“The juices are flowing again,” Colbert said as the artist just wrapped his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July 2023.
“You will be getting some more [music],” John confirmed. “The juices have never dried up. They never want to dry up, because I’m always looking to create things.”
“It’s just having the space now to do it at my own time. Of course, there will be new Elton John music,” he added.
