Eddie Redmayne is set to return as formidable lone assassin: the Jackal.
Peacock and Sky have renewed hit man drama The Day of the Jackal for a second season after the success of the first season in both the U.S. and the U.K.
In the show, Redmayne plays a highly trained sniper who does hits for highest paying clients. However, he’s faced with a challenge when Bianca Pullman, an MI6 agent (Lashana Lynch) gets on his heels, starting a thrilling chase.
Oscar winner Redmayne has scored critical acclaim once again for his acting through The Day of the Jackal. He’s got both a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
The show has also impressed audiences and critics alike, getting a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice nomination for Best Television Series – Drama.
The Day of the Jackal is based on Frederick Forsyth’s novel of the same name and stars Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill and Sule Rimi along with Eddie Redmayne.
