Drake raises the prize pool for a Toronto lookalike contest in a stunning gesture
Drake, a celebrated Canadian rapper and singer, recently surprised his lookalike contest organiser with a huge surprise.
As per the report of The Brandon Gonez Show, a Drake lookalike contest was held in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday, December 14.
The bakery with the name Casuals Cakery hosted the event and shared a screenshot of a conversation with the 38-year-old pop sensation on its Instagram, where Drake claimed that he would raise the prize money.
In the conversation, the singer of Family Matters wrote, “I’m adding 10 bands to the look alike contest,” and added, “As the main prize.”
After reading his texts, the bakery replied, “Just give me a min to stop hyperventilating this moment. I can’t believe this is ur account and u know about this. Omg I love you.”
Moving forward, the same show shared a clip of many Drake lookalikes dancing to his music on its Instagram.
The post also added a caption that read, “A Drake look-alike contest is going down in Toronto! Winner gets $10,000. Do you think these contestants resemble @champagnepapi ?#drake #lookalike.”
In the clips, many people had cornrows, pigtails, and low cuts to take after the Hotline Bling hitmaker.
While in the contest, they were asked to make the loudest noise for the person who resembled Drake the most.
However, the winner was a female fan who had pigtails in her hair, a camouflage jacket, and a sprayed-on beard.
On the other hand, the person who secured second place wore a bulletproof vest and a black T-shirt and had cornrows, whereas the person in third place opted for a grey and yellow jacket with glasses and cornrows.
It is pertinent to mention that the winner received $10,000, which was given by Drake himself.
