Censor Board Invited Islamic Council To Review ‘Zindagi Tamasha’

In January, the federal government had given mandates to delay the arrival of the film ‘Zindagi Tamasha’. In wake of objections and protests from Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP), the film was reviewed for another audit by the Central Board of Film Censors of Pakistan (CBFC). The Censor Board invited the Islamic Council to review ‘Zindagi Tamasha’. The review meeting was set to happen on February 3rd, 2020.

However, the review is yet to be held which was conducted by Censor Board invited Islami Council to review Zindagi Tamasha, with the destiny of the film as yet remaining in a precarious situation. It creates the impression that all the partners associated with the review are accusing each other as to the postponement.

One of the CBFC  representatives said that why the review meeting was not held yet and it looks like this issue won’t be settled in the coming days. Over about fourteen days have passed and nothing has been done right now. Two weeks was sufficient opportunity to lead the significant procedures.

In the meantime, an authority from the Punjab Censor Board has kept up that it is hanging tight for the CII and CBFC to arrive at their decision. “We are anticipating the choice by the CII and CBFC. We will tail them over this issue as the issue is serious,” said the authority of Punjab film and Censor Board.
