On Thursday, 12th November 2020, Bollywood’s actor Asif Basra found dead at his home in the Himachal Pradesh state, India. Reported by Indian Media.
SSP Kangra Vimukt Ranjan said, “The police team has arrived at the location and investigated the death”. As reported by Hindustan Times.
While some other media reports, Asif Basra had been living in a rented house for the past five years, located in Kangra’s district McLeodganj.
Asif Basra was born on 27th July 1967, in Amravati, India. Later, he moved to Mumbai in 1989 where he pursued acting as a career. In 1998, he took the start of his career with a TV series named “Woh”. His last project was the Disney+ Hotstar series “Hostage”. Apart from this, he acted in many Bollywood movies including “Once Upon a Time in Mumbai”, “Jab We Met” and “Kai Po Che”. In 2006, the actor worked with foreign productions such as “Tandoori Love” (Switzerland/Germany),” One Night with the King” (US), and many more.
On the loss of the great, popular actor, the Indian film industry pours their condolences on social media. The film director-Sachin Krishn of “Hostages- season 2″, said, ” I am stunned by the news. I don’t know the full facts. He was such a jovial person on sets. In fact, we used to envy his life because he would stay in the hills and come to Mumbai only to shoot. He was not only a fine actor but more importantly, a beautiful person. It feels like a personal loss.”
