Amber Heard breaks silence on Blake Lively ‘It Ends With Us’ lawsuit
Amber Heard addressed Blake Lively suing former ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star, Justin Baldoni for harassment
Amber Heard just put forward her stance amid the lawsuit Blake Lively has filed against her former It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni.
In a statement to NBC News, the 38-year-old actress recalled how she finds the sexual harassment complaint against the Five Feet Apart star a reminder of her own “horrifying” defamation trial against ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
“Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying ‘A lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on,’” Heard said.
The Aquaman star continued, “I saw this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is destructive.”
These comments come shortly after Baldoni hired the same PR crisis manager as the Pirates of Caribbean actor did back in 2022’s defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, that he won.
For the unversed, Blake Lively has sued Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment, creating a toxic workplace environment on the set of It Ends With Us and a campaign allegedly started to “destroy” her reputation.
However, Baldon’s lawyer was quick to deny the allegation, telling PEOPLE magazine in a statement that Lively had taken this action in order to “fix her negative reputation.”
