Adam Brody and Leighton Meester watched his Netflix series, Nobody Wants This, before it was released, and the Gossip Girl star had a verdict on it.
Speaking to Access Hollywood’s Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes Awards in Los Angeles Sunday, Brody and Meester recalled watching the show together.
“I mean, I don’t know if I’m one to say — I feel like we watched it together before it came out and I was like, ‘It works. It works. It’s so good.’ And you’re like, ‘Yeah, yeah,’ ” the mom-of-two said.
She added: “I think there’s no way to know, especially with streaming now you kind of can’t tell. And then it came out and it was like, ‘Alright.’ ”
While the Ready or Not actor has a new generation of fans swooning over him, he noted that it’s his wife that “gets the good stuff.”
“That’s not even like the A-material,” he said.
Elsewhere in the interview, the duo were told that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s “secret to a successful marriage” was double headed showers and separate toilets.
Brody shared: “We have de facto separate toilets. I go in the office. It’s nice. One layer farther away from the kids and one layer more deep with privacy.”
While The Roommate star noted that she “just put no thought into the toilet situation whatsoever.”
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester tied the knot in in 2014 and welcomed their first child in 2015 and second in 2020.
