Aaron Rodgers gets candid about fame and personal struggle
Aaron Rodgers reveals shocking truths about fame and its impact on him
Aaron Rodgers, an NFL star quarterback known for his legendary career and off-field headlines, recently opened up about his romantic past.
In a new Netflix documentary titled Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, the footballer talks about how fame affected his life and reflects on how the women he dated during his career added to his celebrity charm.
In his documentary, Rodgers said, “I always find it interesting when people say, in reference to the off-the-field attention, ‘Well, this is what you signed up for.’”
The 41-year-old sportsman added, “I say f***** that; I never signed up for that. I signed up for football because I love the game, and I got great at it because I’m hyper-competitive and super-motivated. But there’s this whole other part that comes with it that’s a lot of great stuff and a lot of f****** weird stuff.”
Moving forward, when the images of his former girlfriends, such as Danica Patrick, Olivia Munn, and his ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley, appear on the screen, he quips, “I didn’t do myself any favours with some of the girls I dated after that that were in the public eye.”
“I definitely hated it at first – like, really despised it. I enjoyed my private life. I enjoyed being able to go places. But from Super Bowl MVP, MVP, State Farm commercials, that got a little bit more difficult,” shedding light on fame and constant media scrutiny, Rodgers concluded by admitting.
The documentary also shows a clip of his meeting with the former president of the United States, Barack Obama, at the White House following his Super Bowl XLV victory.
For the unversed, as per the report of People magazine, Rodgers is currently dating Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks’ co-owner Wes Edens.
It is pertinent to mention that the documentary Aaron Rodgers: Enigma is set to come out on December 17, 2024, at midnight PT.
