Experts suspect Kate Middleton and Prince William are gearing up for a very different year that is without the “agreeable line-toeing” the Firm is known for.

Given the fact that 2024 has proven to be an ‘off the rails’ kind of time for the Windsor house, given the cancer diagnoses, Ms Daniela Elser made note of all the changes that are to be expected.

In the News.com.au piece she began by taking a trip down memory lane and recounting how, “in 13 years of marriage, every December, the duo has diligently done their bit for the greater Windsor good and turned up to avoid having to make small talk with Princess Michael of Kent or being stuck next to the Earl of Snowdon as he banged on about his enduring love of cabinetry.”

However, this time around that agreeable line-toeing is clearly over, sensible stuff given that the last 12 months veered spectacularly and horribly off the rails for William and Kate,” Ms Elser noted.

However, before signing off she did make it clear that “Still, their choice to not attend and to support the King was not so much conspicuous as impossible to miss.”

As it ended up becoming the focal point as a result of this was not the event itself but their lack of attendance.

It is pertinent to mention that sources claim this was only because the Wales’s wanted to start their Holidays early this year.

Reportedly this decision wasn’t last minute either and “was made quite some time ago”. Even “the King [was] told in advance”.
