Paul Rudd, Jack Black announce horror comedy film in hilarious promo
Paul Rudd and Jack Black are set to make a horror classic into a horror comedy
Paul Rudd and Jack Black are making a reboot of the 1997 movie Anaconda, and they’ve made sure the snake is big and scary enough for audiences.
On Friday, Black and Rudd got together to share a video from the set of the movie, teasing the remake of the original.
“Whatever, there’s going to be a big f—in’ snake and it’s gonna rip,” Black teased.
“You want to get scared?” Rudd asked the audience. “You want to laugh? You want to celebrate with your friends? Or maybe you’re alone and sad and have nobody but just want to forget about. It’s coming out on Christmas in 2025… what are you gonna do, open presents?”
Black added, “Come see our movie Anaconda!”
Filmmaker Tom Gormican, who co-wrote the movie with Kevin Etten, is set to direct the upcoming comedic take on Anaconda.
The original has previously been followed by various sequels and reboots, including, 2004’s Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid.
The original Anaconda starred Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, and Eric Stoltz.
Meanwhile, another one of Paul Rudd’s horror comedies, titled Death of a Unicorn, recently dropped its trailer starring Jenna Ortega alongside the Ant Man star, Will Poulter and others.
Jack Black recently appeared in Dear Santa, where a young boy misspells his Christmas letter and writes to Satan instead of Santa.
