Prince William and Kate’s latest move expected to enrage King Charles supporters
The couple are spending holidays in Norfolk with their children
As if criticism coming from King Charles’ supporters was not enough, Prince William and Kate Middleton chose to release their Christmas card just as the monarch was hosting the family for a traditional launch in Buckingham Palace.
The couple, who skipped the lunch is in Norfolk with their three children, are set to receive backlash and risk being accused of trying to steal the light from an event hosted by King Charles.
The couple are looking forward to spending time with the rest of the Royal Family at Sandringham over Christmas, a royal source said.
The Buckingham Palace lunch is a private event for senior royals and their wider family who won’t be at the Christmas celebrations at the King’s Norfolk home.
Prince Andrew decided not to attend the gathering after speaking to his ex-wife and close friend Sarah, Duchess of York, according to a source, amid continuing speculation over his links to an alleged Chinese spy.
