Kevin Costner has spoken about the Yellowstone finale and rumours of a feud with former co-star Luke Grimes.

Daily Mail obtained a video in which the 69-year-old star can be seen articulating his thoughts, saying, “I’m not thinking about [the Yellowstone finale], I don’t think I’ve given it any thoughts; we’ll just let it go.”

In a clip, the Oscar-winning actor also dismissed a question about his rumoured feud with Grimes, who played his onscreen son, Kayce Dutton.

However, he also said he had not spoken to Grimes since the finale aired.

In the show Yellowstone, Costner’s character, John Dutton, was killed off early in the premiere of season 5, part two.

The story showed Dutton dying from a gunshot in what appeared to be a suicide, and this tragic incident happened after Costner left the show due to scheduling issues with his Horizon movie project.

Moreover, since the show’s conclusion, Grimes has spoken about how Costner’s departure changed filming.

As per the same outlet, last week, the 40-year-old actor claimed that working without the Waterworld star made filming easier for him and the rest of the cast, saying, “Hopefully everyone can see that it was time. To be really honest, there was a part of Kevin being gone that meant some of the conflict was gone.”

He mentioned, “Obviously, it didn’t make it super fun to be around… Not pointing any fingers, but it was actually the easiest season we’ve filmed.”

When asked by Men’s Health if he still talks to Costner, to which he replied laughingly, “No, I haven’t talked to him since. It’s not a case of any hard feelings or anything; it’s just, he’s Kevin Costner.”

“He’s a big deal. I do have his phone number—I just don’t feel like it’s my place to reach out. He can reach out to me if he wants,” Grimes concluded.

It is pertinent to mention that Yellowstone season 5 concluded on December 15, which consisted of 14 episodes.
