Jay-Z lands in hot waters again amid rape lawsuit involving Diddy
Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000
Jay-Z has landed himself in hot waters once again as his company Roc Nation has been sued by Tony Buzbee.
It is to be noted here that the lawyer’s firm is behind the filing of the civil case accusing the 55-year-old rapper of raping a 13-year-old girl along with Sean Diddy Combs in 2000 at an afterparty for the VMA awards.
Jay-Z, in return, denied the allegations, calling them “idiotic,” and claimed Buzbee attempted to “blackmail” him.
Now, Tony Buzbee, a Texas-based law firm, in a fresh lawsuit accused the rapper’s company of using “shadowy operatives” and “fake badges” to pressurize his clients to sue his firm.
Tony in a lengthy post on Instagram also claimed that Jay-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation took the step in order to seek out former clients of Tony’s to try and convince them to sue him.
The lawyer, famous for handling cases of Diddy’s accusers, also claimed that the husband of Beyonce, offered his clients up to $10,000 (£7,900) to do so.
The celebrity lawyer also alleged that his company’s employees pretended to be state officials and “flashed fake badges” in an attempt to persuade them into filing false claims.
In the post, he wrote, “The Defendants this time overstepped, got sloppy, and stupidly got caught at their illegal scheme on tape.”
“We have reported this conduct to the authorities, and intend to cooperate with the authorities to ensure all involved are prosecuted to the full extent allowed under Texas law,” he concluded the post.
