Royal family suffered another setback after Princess Michael of Kent, the wife of Prince Michael of Kent, fell from Kensington Palace’s stairs.

According to reports, Marie Christine has broken both her wrists in a fall down the stairs at the Palace, where she resides with her husband.

The reports reveal that the 79-year-old injured princess attended King Charles’s pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, wearing splints on both wrists.

She has suffered multiple small bone fractures as she put her hands to break her fall while carrying an armful of overcoats, they added.

As per Daily Mail, the Princess “is unable to use her hands this Christmas after breaking both her wrists in a fall down the stairs.”

In a conversation with Majesty Magazine, Marie got candid about her injuries, revealing, “So many things that you rely on being able to do, like cleaning your teeth, are impossible.”

“I can type with one finger on a mobile, but I can’t use a laptop,” she added. “I am told that, after an accident like this, if you do one wrong movement on top of the unhealed bones, you are back where you started.”

The accident comes just days before King Charles is set to host his annual Christmas bash at Sandringham, where the whole clan will be in attendance except for Prince Andrew and Prince Harry’s families.
