Jennifer Love Hewitt reveals heartfelt moment with son on set of ‘9-1-1′
Jennifer Love Hewitt talks about her son’s sweet gesture after watching her work
Jennifer Love Hewitt recently got candid and shed light on “the sweet thing” her son Atticus did after seeing her drama series 9-1-1.
While having a conversation with People magazine, the 45-year-old actress revealed that her 9-year-old son got a chance to spend a day with her at work on his day off from school.
Hewitt shared, “Seeing what I get to do for a living through his eyes was so cool. We got to eat lunch together in my trailer, and I had this really hard scene that I had to do where I was crying and he was just rubbing my back at the end of it, and he told me how proud he was. He was like, ‘Mommy, you work so hard. Thank you for working so hard.’ It was really sweet.”
The mother of three went on to say that her kids, namely Atticus, Autumn, and Aidan, are “massive” adorers of 9-1-1, which is “totally separate” from her.
“I did not ask them to watch it. They actually just watched it because some of their friends wanted to see it, and now they love it,” the Ghost Whisper actress mentioned.
Moving forward, recalling how she received the call for the show, Hewitt stated, “They were like, ‘Hey, they’re looking for a Jennifer Love Hewitt type on this show.’ I was like, ‘Well, I am that type.'”
She decided to take the role after learning about Maddie, saying, “I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I have to do this. She’s different.'”
Hewitt called her experience on the show “absolutely amazing” and highlighted that since joining 9-1-1, she made it clear that being “a mom first and an actress second” is important to her.
For the unversed, Hewitt became a part of the TV drama 9-1-1 as Maddie Han in season 2, which was televised in 2018.
It is pertinent to mention that ABC’s series 9-1-1 season 8 premiered on September 24, 2024, and up till now, 114 episodes have been aired.
