Chappell Roan’s parents open up about emotional moments with ‘Pink Pony Club’

Parents of Chappell Roan’s a rising star, whose won big in the 2024 award seasons have shared insights into their emotions and reactions to their daughter’s recent release.
In a recent episode of A Carpool Karaoke Christmas, Chappell Roan, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, appeared for an interview alongside her father Dwight Amstutz, and mother Kara Amstutz.
At the time, Kara recalled the song Pink Pony Club from her biographical album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which explained her journey of leaving a small town in Missouri to pursue her singing career in Los Angeles.
“That song, I love singing it with her at her shows,” her mother began by saying. “Even when we’re grown up, we really care what our parents think about us. And I hope that’s something that she always knows: that we love her so much and we could never not be proud of her.”
“I hope that that’s something that she always knows, that we love her so much, and we could never not be proud of her,” Dwight added. “I think about this a lot and try not to get emotional about it…”
He lauded, “What she has taught me as a father is respect for other people and all people, and that’s what I want people to understand.”
Before concluding, he shared the message of her daughter by saying, “Everything that is about her is about loving everybody, and she has taught me that. What she stands for is a lot of hope.”
For those unversed, Dwight Amstutz and Kara Amstutz welcomed their oldest daughter Kayleigh Rose on February 19, 1998.
