Dua Lipa breaks silence over shocking Grammy 2025 snub
Dua Lipa did not receive any 2025 Grammy nominations for her 2024 album, ‘Radical Optimism’
Dua Lipa just reacted to her album, Radical Optimism not receiving any nods for the 67th Grammy Awards.
Breaking her silence over the rather shocking snub, considering how successful her 2024 album was, she recalled her previous album, Future Nostalgia that earned her the 2021 Grammy for the award for Best Pop Vocal Album.
She told Billboard UK how that 2020 LP gave her the opportunity to “grow as an artist, to push boundaries and change” giving her “the confidence to make Radical Optimism,” in the first place.
Discussing the lack of nominations Lipa told the outlet: “I’m so proud of Radical Optimism and where it’s brought me.”
She continued, “I love that album and I’m having the time of my life performing it live, and I’ve been able to do things that I thought I could only dream of this year, so I’m really grateful.”
“Although it would have been nice to be recognised by your industry, especially as a woman, I’m so proud seeing so many incredible female artists nominated at the Grammys this year,” Dua Lipa concluded.
It is also pertinent to mention that amid this snub, her fellow contemporaries Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX as well as Billie Eilish have all received Grammy nominations for the upcoming year.
