Sylvester Stallone latest move sparks angry reactions
Reports say neighbours of Sylvester Stallone are upset with him
Sylvester Stallone has a massive fanbase. However, his neighbours might have a different view of him after his plans to protect his $35 million-dollar home.
It involved building an underwater barrier near his Palm Beach mansion to help block the debris and seaweed from the waterway.
The Rocky star called it an ‘environment project,’ but his affluent, water-front community neighbours reportedly disagreed.
On top of that, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers which read the plans of the three-time Academy nominee said in a statement that “The overall project purpose is to exclude boaters from gaining proximity to the celebrity’s property while the seaweed is listed as a secondary concern.”
Bradford Gary, a neighbor of the celebrity who moved from South Carolina to Floria years ago, told the Palm Beach Post that while Stallone owns “a beautiful property’ and ‘one of the nicest West Indies houses’ in the area’s North End, he is overreaching with his vision for the project.”
“I can see why you’d want to protect it,” he continued. “But you can’t just kind of stake your claim and think you own the water.”
His wife, Susan Gary, summarized the matter saying that “a lot of neighbors are concerned about Sly’s ambitious plans.”
